This woven flag represents the countries of EMEA which stands for Europe, Middle East and Africa. It is made up of patterns from the region and symbolises LinkedIn’s ‘close knit’ community.

This tapestry was constructed by hand on a simple four sided frame loom. The process took three months to complete. Vertical cotton threads make up the warp which serves as a base for the weaving. A fine wool weft is then woven by hand across these warp threads to create the weft based pattern that you see here. The weft bobbins consist of 3 strands of two ply worsted yarn that allows for rich variations of the core shades of blue chosen for this piece.
